Hurricane Damage Remains in Louisiana
St. Bernard, LA (WSYR-TV) - Dozens of Central New York volunteers are in
Louisiana right now, helping rebuild homes that were destroyed by hurricane
Katrina more than two years ago.
They're part of a group called Operation Southern Comfort. NewsChannel 9's
Kevin Torres just got back from Louisiana a few days ago. He brought along a
camera to film the damage that still remains - and the volunteers who are
helping clean it up.
Monday night on NewsChannel 9 he profiled a St. Bernard resident, who
continued to deal with the destruction left behind.
Tune in Tuesday at 5:30 to see how volunteers are making a difference in the
Gulf Coast.
