Free Construction Training Program Starting March 10


Operation Reconstruct is a free work-readiness and pre-apprenticeship
certificate training (PACT) program developed by Home Builders Institute
(HBI) and The Paxen Group. Program participants will receive classroom and
worksite instruction and training in employability and life skills, worksite
safety and proper tool use, basic residential carpentry, electrical, and

Youth Violence Prevention Week 2008


High Voltage Youth Camp in New Orleans is part of this year's "Youth
Violence Prevention Week" (March 28-April 4, 2008). The goal of this
campaign is to raise awareness and to educate students, teachers, school
administrators, counselors, school resource officers, school staff, parents,
and the public on effective ways to prevent or reduce youth violence.
Schools and community groups are encouraged to participate. For more
