[StBernard] St. Bernard hospital money granted aka the Fix is in

I applaud Prez Taffaro and the council for adopting this resolution and
realizing fiscal responsibility. I'm not affiliated with either hospital but
wonder what influence OLOL has on Dr Bertucci or Dr Verrett. I do know that
Doctors at Ochsner are employees of Ochsner not independants contracting
their services, with the exception of the hospitals they bought from Tenet.
They are contract doctors. If Oschner was to build a new hospital 20 bed or
whatever, any doctor working there would have to gain employment from
Ochsner. Not sure if that has anything to do with the opposition some are
taking. 
I really don't believe that a hospital is the only thing keeping people from
coming back. Poor government spending right after Katrina, the perception of
corruption, secret deals, still pumping sewerage, living next to a condemmed
house or a lot with an ugly slab. I know many friends and relatives who are
not coming back and they did not have any trouble moving to Pearl River,
areas in rural Mississippi and off of Interstate 12 with  NO hospitals in
their back yard are even close by.
Responsibility and making the right financial decisions for this parish are
what is going to attract residents.
