[StBernard] Landrieu Announces $5.25M for St. Bernard Parish

""$5,250,000 in federal funds to purchase 61 residential properties that
experienced devastating wind and flood damage during Hurricanes Katrina and
Rita in 2005. The parish is planning to
convert these properties in the Village Square subdivision in Chalmette, La
into a contiguous stretch of green space.""

What are our assurances that these 61 residential properties in Village
Square are truly for "GREEN SPACE" {you know the kind with grass and maybe
Cypress trees} and not part of the proposed development being considered
for Village Square through CDBG funds or through the Village Square
Redevelopment LLC ?

Is there a map available at the council office that shows which properties
are eligible for this "green space" buyout, which properties are being
considered for expropriation, and which properties are not eligible for
building permits or redevelopment in Village Square?
Thanks, any explanation or clarity would be appreciated
