A Mandeville woman was arrested for burglary in a Chalmette home she claimed
to be interested in buying.

Asleigh S. King, 25, was found by the resident of the Gallo Drive home, who
was alerted by a neighbor that a strange car was in the driveway. When the
resident asked King why she was in her house, King replied that she was
looking to buy it.

Sheriff's deputies arrived later to find King with a pile of items she
allegedly was trying to steal.

King is being held in St. Bernard Parish prison in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office said King is on probation for
burglary in St. Tammany Parish.
