Team,

Tomorrow, our campaign for change in Washington will proudly launch its first television advertisement of this election. But you don’t have to wait until then – here’s a sneak preview: click here to view the ad right now <http://www.johnkennedy.com/brownbag.php> !

Our television ad highlights John Kennedy’s strong, conservative record of fiscal responsibility and results for Louisiana taxpayers. As State Treasurer, John has managed our money wisely – earning taxpayers over $1.4 billion and saving taxpayers another $415 million. And, as a longtime advocate against wasteful spending, John challenged legislators to reform Louisiana’s broken earmark system.

John Kennedy has a positive vision to bring real change to Washington. Unfortunately, John’s opponent, entrenched Washington incumbent Mary Landrieu is proving to be the single greatest defender of Washington politics as usual.

While the spirit of change and reform continue to carry the day in Louisiana, Mary Landrieu’s campaign for more of the same in Washington is taking a startling turn for the worse.

A new independent poll showed John pulling ahead of Mary after she recently blocked domestic oil exploration before leaving for summer vacation and is reportedly co-hosting a Washington fundraiser for fellow liberal Barack Obama. And just hours ago, the Associated Press reported that Mary launched the first negative TV ad of this campaign.

Folks, Mary Landrieu is ducking debates with John Kennedy on the issues, opting instead for more of the same negative, personal attacks that voters are sick and tired of. And one thing is clear - politicians only launch the first negative TV ad of an election cycle for one reason, because they are losing.

As a conservative reformer, John Kennedy is used to partisan attacks from party insiders. And while Mary Landrieu attacks John for changing parties and standing against politics as usual, voters are now finding out that Mary Landrieu flipped her vote 50 times on the Senate floor. And last March, Mary Landrieu voted three different ways on eliminating the Death Tax on the same day <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM4te_6ntSM> – and that’s wrong.

John Kennedy’s campaign is resonating with folks like us who believe Washington is broken, and nothing will change until we stop sending the same people back over and over again. That’s why John always says it best, “If you want to change the Senate, you have to change the Senator.”
