State Extends Public Comment Period on Action Plans

Baton Rouge, La. (August 14, 2008) - The state is extending the public comment period for three recovery action plans because some members of the public may have experienced technical difficulties submitting comments.

Members of the public now have until August 23, 2008, to submit public comment on the below action plans:

*	First Action Plan, Amendment 27 - Asks the federal government to allow the state to break the $150,000 cap in the Road Home program to serve a greater population of applicants in the $7,500 Individual Mitigation Measures program. 
*	First Action Plan, Action Plan Amendment 28 - Proposes changes to the Road Home regarding home valuations and determining the pre-storm value of a property.
*	First Action Plan, Action Plan Amendment 29 - Reallocates $3.3 million in Community Development Block Grant funding for building code enforcement.
