Resident LIST OF SERVICES AND BUSINESSES

Updated at 10:00 a.m.

Updates on services in St. Bernard Parish

Update on government services, major industries, schools and utilities:

Sewer Stations: Out of 92 lift stations, only 10 need to be serviced by
vacuum trucks.

Water: Reserves are almost full, and will be full before the end of the day.
The water pressure is higher now. The pressure will be slowly brought up
through the day.

Entergy: It is estimated that 95% or 96% of the parish has been reconnected
by Entergy. Please call 1-800-9-Outage to report any problems or to check on
your address.

Murphy Oil: Preparing for full production to resume.

Chalmette Refining: Up and running.

Domino Sugar: Packaging today, with full production to be started tomorrow.

Targa Gas Plant: Working on assessment and clean-up.

Animal Control: Animals to return today.

Leaners and Hangers, which means damaged trees and branches that could cause
problems: The crews were out all day yesterday and are headed back out
today.

Debris: The pickup will be early on Monday, so you must move your debris
piles out to the curb for pickup by the end of Sunday.

Schools: The School Board expects all schools to be powered and re-opened on
Monday September 8.

Businesses: Most should be able to operate as of now.

Sheriff's Office: Several arrests have been made due to curfew. The curfew
is still in effect at this time. Please follow the 11 p.m. through 6 a.m.
curfew time.

Please use caution at all intersections. Even though the power is on for
most of the parish, the streetlights may be without power in some spots.
Please use caution and follow all speed limits and street signs.

Phone Service: The phone lines seem to be operational in most areas of the
Parish.

Mail service: Delivery is restricted. If your home does not look occupied,
the U.S. Postal Service is not going to leave your mail at this time.

Residential Insurance Stop: Some companies have been calling to set up a
one-stop claims office. This will be set up if enough companies agree to set
up this type of operation.

Parish assisted evacuated residents: The busses are headed back to central
processing locations. The residents then will be brought back to the pick-up
spots by SBURT busses. The system will work in reverse, basically.

Please remember: FEMA is now offering individual assistance to those
residents that either call 1-800-621-3362 (1-800-621-FEMA) or go to the FEMA
