Louisiana Amber Alert Issued For Girls Missing In Shreveport

Louisiana State Police - Troop F has requested activation of the Louisiana
AMBER Alert System on behalf of Shreveport Police Department for two
children:

#1:  Unknown name, white female, four (4) years of age and has short brown
hair.  She was wearing a white dress.

#2:  Unknown name, white female, six (6) years of age and ha short brown
hair.  She was wearing a turquoise dress.

They were last seen traveling on foot into a wooded area near Klug Pines, by
Wal Mart, in Shreveport, LA shortly after 11:00 AM this morning.  The
suspect is Zachary Russell Barnes, a white male who is 30 years of age.  He
is described as being 6'1" in height, and 165 pounds and having blue eyes
and dark brown hair. He is believed to be from the state of Oklahoma.  He
was last seen wearing a green shirt and dark blue corduroy jeans.  Barnes is
suspected of seriously injuring a third child.  He is a "survivalist" with a
criminal record.

As more details are obtained, they will be forwarded to the public.
