St. Bernard Parish residents with hurricane damage can sign up for the Army
Corps of Engineers' blue roof program today in Chalmette. 

To apply, residents must go to the St. Bernard Community Center at 1107
LeBeau St., Arabi. The hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Residents who want to enroll in the program must have a photo ID or proof of
residency at the location; know what type of roof they have; have a roof
with less than 50 percent structural damage; have a home that can be
habitable once a blue roof is installed; and must sign a right-of-entry
form. 

 
A temporary blue roof is generally good for 30 days. For more information
