Microsoft has released a critical update today for all Windows systems. If
your PC is already configured for Automatic Updates, your PC will download
and install the update, which will most likely require your PC to reboot.

If your PC is not configured for Automatic Updates then it is strongly
advised that you visit the Windows Update website to download and install
any needed updates.

Three ways to access the Windows Update website:

1) Click on Start->All Programs->Windows Update
2) From Internet Explorer, click on Tools->Windows Update
3) Type http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com into the Address bar of Internet
Explorer.

In an effort to help people avoid downloading bogus updates, Microsoft
developed a practice of releasing updates once a month, on the second
Tuesday of the month, referred to as Patch Tuesday within the I.T. industry.

This particular update has been deemed critical enough for Microsoft to
release it early, out-of-band, rather than wait for the next Patch Tuesday.

More information about the vulnerability the update fixes can be found in
Microsoft Security Bulleting MS08-067
