[StBernard] I-10 Closed at the High Rise

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has closed the 
Eastbound I-10 over the Industrial Canal.

Crews are making emergency repairs after Louisiana State Police alerted 
officials of a problem.  Initial reports indicate a "finger joint popped 
up" on the High Rise Bridge.

A spokesman says they are working to determine an estimated time for 
reopening the I-10.

Drivers should try to avoid the area and use the Chef Highway Bridge in 
the meantime, if they must travel eastbound over the Industrial Canal.
