[StBernard] WVUE picks new news director

WVUE now has two Chalmettians as departmart directors. Heidi Hoffmeister
formally of Emmis Broadcasting in Orlando is the new Program Director.
Heidi was with WVUE eight years ago before transferring to Emmis in
Orlando. Heidi is a 1987 graduate of the Academy of the Holy Angels.

Mikel Schaefer, author of the 2007 book, "Lost in Katrina," was
named
WVUE-Channel 8 will be the station's new news director. New Orleans
Fox
network affiliate WVUE-Channel 8 has announced that Mikel Schaefer,
currently assistant news director at CBS affiliate WWL-Channel 4,
will be
the station's new news director.

He replaces Mimi Strawn, who departed WVUE in October for WAFF-TV in
Huntsville, Ala.

A graduate of Chalmette High School and the University of New
Orleans,
Schaefer is author of the 2007 book "Lost in Katrina," which
recounted St.
Bernard Parish's experiences during the hurricanes of 2005.
