Now that the holiday season is here, many people find that what should be a
joyous season of togetherness and sharing is marred by feelings of stress
and anxiety. Fortunately, talking with a caring, trained counselor can be an
effective way to deal with these troubling issues before they become
overwhelming. The Talk It Out Van, with its team of experienced social
workers (MSW, LCSW), is now at the Community Center of St Bernard, 1107
LeBeau St, Arabi every Tuesday from 10AM -2PM to assist local residents.
These counselors are ready to listen and offer confidential help with a wide
variety of emotional support issues including anxiety, grief, anger,
depression, substance abuse, and school problems.

Walk-ins are always welcome to stop by and chat, and appointments are also
available for anyone who desires more in-depth confidential conversation or
therapy sessions. Group and couples sessions may be offered as well. All
personal information and services received at the Talk It Out Van are kept
strictly confidential. The Talk It Out Van is supported by the Episcopal
Diocese of Louisiana Office of Disaster Response, S.A.M.M and St Thomas
Wellness Center. For more information about services available from the Talk
It Out Van, please phone Debby at 522-7573.
