St. Bernard Parish man booked in molestation cases

A Violet man has been booked with aggravated incest involving his juvenile
daughter and indecent behavior with the juvenile sister of his girlfriend,
the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office said.

The man's name was not released to protect the identity of the victims, the
Sheriff's Office said in a news release. 

The teen-aged sister of the man's girlfriend reported to a counselor at her
school that her sister's boyfriend had touched her inappropriately. The
girl's legal guardian and Sheriff's Office were notified. 

The same day, the man's juvenile daughter, who knew the other girl, told the
girl that she, too, had been abused by the man for several years. 

The man, 38, was booked Dec. 4, authorities said in a news release Tuesday. 

He has since been released from jail on $50,000 bond.
