do they have someplace high and dry in mind for this one for the next
hurricane season?

If they (FEMA) replaced one, they won't give us another.

-----------------------------------------------------
St. Bernard Parish proudly announces that it has secured a Mobile
Command
Center for the Office of Homeland Security. This command center is
a
replacement of a command center that was destroyed by Hurricane
Katrina.
Through the efforts of FEMA and the state, St. Bernard Parish
Government was
able to secure the funds for the replacement. The Mobile Command
Center
will be fitted with all the required communications equipment in the
near
future to allow for the command center to be deployed to any
incident in
the
region to support St. Bernard and the other surrounding parishes.
It will
also be utilized in small incidents by the St. Bernard Parish Fire
and
Sheriff Departments, which will have equal access to the Mobile
Command
Center to utilize it in an Incident Command structure. This Mobile
Command
Center will be presented to the residents of St. Bernard Parish in
the
upcoming local Mardi Gras parades.
