Thanks. A Katrina Cottage as a welcome center seems appropriate (Wonder if
it will stay the only cottage in use in da parish;......) Torres Park
sounds good too (I still tend to refer to it as Park Chenier, kinda like da
green bridge).
I hope it will grow. That is a good location for even the local convenience
visitors, while daugher is at rehearsal etc on the stage and such. Sounds it
can grow into a very popular place.

	-----------------------------------------------------
Hi Gaby, The Katrina Cottage that is on Dr. Meraux Blvd. (west side
some
distance behind bank) was donated for a Welcome Center for St.
Bernard. It
is small but a good first step. It must be placed on public land
where
computer service and utilities are easily available for a low cost
set up
and then operational costs. That limits sites that are highly
visible on
St. B Highway or Judge Perez. A location in Torres Park on the east
side of
Dr. Meraux Blvd. and not far from the playground and outdoor stage
area
seems to be the location. I don't know when the move might happen
only that
it is on the "to do" list. Check the Tourism link on the parish
website for
	future information. Gayle
