twice

St. Bernard Parish authorities are seeking the public's help in indentifying
a man believed to have robbed the same Chalmette gas station twice since
last month.

In both cases, the man wore a white dust mask - like the kind people wear
when gutting flooded homes. The gas station at Judge Perez Drive and Paris
Road was hit on Dec. 21 and again on Sunday.

The robber is described as being a stocky man in his 30s or 40s, the St.
Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office said. In each instance, he ran north on
Paris Road.

In the first robbery the man wore a brownish knit hat. In the second robbery
the hat was described as being more reddish.

The man showed a gun during the first robbery and implied he had a weapon
during the second robbery, the Sheriff's Office said.

Both robberies occured during the afternoon, the Sheriff's Office said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at
504.271.2501 or Crimestoppers at 504.822.1111, where they might be eligible
for a reward.
