St. Bernard officials meeting today with Corps, FEMA reps in Washington

A delegation of St. Bernard Parish officials will close out a trip to
Washington, D.C., today with meetings with officials from the Army Corps of
Engineers and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The St. Bernard group, which includes Parish President Craig Taffaro and
members of the Parish Council, have a meeting planned with Gen. Merdith
"Bo'' Temple of the corps at 2 p.m. At 3:30 p.m., they'll meet with Nancy
Ward of FEMA.

During their visit to the nation's capital this week the St. Bernard
officials have also met with members of the state's Congressional delegation
to discuss hurricane recovery issues and funding.
