Adopt A Tree Program



Rediscover District C and Pakenham Oaks Neighborhood Association are in the
process of replacing the Live Oaks Trees lost in the storms of 2005.
Originally planted by the Laurent and the Lagarde Families, the Live Oak
trees that grace Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette have enhanced the
thoroughfare and provided shade for our community's family oriented parade
route.

Residents and Business Owners can Adopt a Live Oak Tree for $150 or make
donations towards this beautification project. Proceeds will be used to
purchase 8 to 10 foot Live Oak Trees, water bags and stakes or tie downs.

Volunteers are needed to plant the trees on Saturday, March 14th and to
finalize the adoptions with a commitment to help water trees this first
season.

All donations are tax deductible and can be made at any Gulf Coast Bank with
checks payable to Rediscover District C .
