Jer...LOL...I love your posts...I bet your Mama had a time with you growing
up ;-) You could be caught red-handed doing something wrong...and I bet
you'd talk your way out of it!! She must be a SAINT :-)

Most times I must say however, I agree with you...but GEESH...do you ALWAYS
have to be so long-winded???? hehehe I thought I used to be
long-winded...but I think YOU have me beat!! Perhaps the correct term
should be long-typed???? LOL

" After the secretary explained to me what the changes will entail, it's
the beginning of socialized medicine." --TJH.

Jer Responds:

There are many inklings to give us impressions of "Socialize Medicine"
syndrome, but examining the "Socialized Nation" is foremost in most
conservative minds. Granted that some are favored on both sides of the
political fence, but knowing where to look is key.

One can view Social Security for instance. When our great nation was formed,
"socializing" or "nationalizing" America was not a belief as it was
something a King would or wouldn't do. An example was what the king would do
out of the goodness of his heart (or perhaps her majesty the Queen if we
refer to Isabella or Elizabeth<G>). There were lots of land parcels not yet
subdivided but given to royalty, fiefdoms, guilds, and land doled out for
those who worked the land for their keep under feudal lords, or surfs,
whatever. Poor laws of the 16th century were devised for the poor through
taxation. Americans later came to hate Kingdoms and sought religious freedom
as a way to break away but still be bothered by King George in Colonial
America (until taxation without representation bit Colonist where the sun
don't shine ;^) Whereas all hell broke loose.

Pensions for the Civil War poor gave some inference to socialization of
funds to American windows, orphans and disabled.

Huey Long gave a good account of it with his "Every Man a King" and free
textbooks for students. Imagine Louisiana's "King(fish) Huey" pending the
phrase firstly before O-B-1: "Share the Wealth"? --giving everyone $5000 a
year?? (in 1930's dollars??). It actually had almost 8 million subscribers!

America was not in positions of social handouts. But, as time evolved, more
of the poor than wealthy arrived as immigrants from usually poor countries
or to avoid political persecution, etc. When we reached the great
depression, the rich lost a little and the middle-poor lost a lot. When
Social Security (economic Security) came down under Roosevelt in 1935
(Depression), the necessary evil reared his head to target aged and then
disabled. Lots of money wasn't poured into it from the worker, but it took 5
years for the first recipient to contribute before enough quarters were
placed to receive benefits.

As time went on people got older (or living longer). And the population has
been increasing the past 15 yrs by the droves, (and yes, many are illegal
wanting to drain the economic system and then send money "home" further
exacerbating the economic situation (bleeding the system because of it and
then more social programs (more lazy people and out of shape means more
"socialized medicine) and the beat goes on.

Now we've got to borrow money from Communist and Socialized countries like
China, and others who at some point will realize our well-is-dry and cut us
off as a junkie is cut off from its supplier or killed for not paying his
drug debt. With 2 Trillion beating down our doors, are we becoming a nation
of Cowards (as say the new Attorney General) or, are we destined just to be
one of Fat A$$es sucking up the economic resources--getting what we can out
of it and increasing the chances that Socialized Medicine will be preferable
to insurance coverage, personal accountability and what many have called the
"Protestant Work Ethic" in our history.

Look at the "misery likes company country already loving its
socialism/Communism system of operation: Korea, Vietnam, Africa, Cuba, Latin
Countries etc.

What's this to do with St. Bernard? It would be just like a Liberal to look
at the micro/small picture of the world we live in and ignore the
macro/larger picture of the small world we now exist. The last I looked, St.
Bernardians were part of the U.S.A.

Remember his Name: "OBAMA".

Because if I'm correct, it'll be remembered in history = not of a promising
future but the new Marx, Lenin, Chavez, who led/lead their nation into
"socialized history". It's in the cards: Capitalism in peril will become
Socialism in its wake.
