Close the GO Rock Throwing Ceremony March 28

Launch from Breton Sound Marina at 8 a.m.

 

 

There will be a Close the GO rock throwing ceremony on the Mississippi River
Gulf Outlet on Saturday, March 28, 2009.  Several boats will launch from
Breton Sound Marina at 8 a.m.  

 

Interested participants should call William McCartney in the office of St.
Bernard Parish Craig P. Taffaro Jr. at 278-4227 to hold a spot on one of the
vessels being used.  Space is limited on the vessels but an on-shore
gathering following the boat ride is open and set to begin at 9 a.m.

 

This ceremony is being co-sponsored by St. Bernard Parish Government, the US
Army Corps of Engineers, the St. Bernard Sportsmen's League, the St. Bernard
Coastal Advisory Committee, and the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation.
