Middle School Night a success

More than 75 enjoyed games in Trist Gym for a night of fun and games

 

More than 75 middle school students and 14 leaders came together March 13th
at N.P. Trist for an open gym and game night, sponsored by the St. Bernard
Parish President's Office.  Students played dodge ball, basketball, jumped
rope, and played a variety of organized games with their teams.  



St. Bernard Parish Youth Coordinator Abbey Flaherty, who works in the Office
of Parish President Craig P. Taffaro, said she hopes to continue hosting a
middle school fun event once a month in order to give youth an outlet to be
with their friends and have a place to go outside of school hours.  Each
upcoming event will be advertised through the local newspapers as well as
through a flyer handed out at all schools that have sixth through eighth
grade students.
