Jill,

I found this info, also. This web site has the rules, too.

Plymouth PA Softball League ... however, a 16-inch softball is actually
soft, and can be fielded safely with bare hands. Sixteen-inch softball is
played extensively in Chicago and New Orleans. In New Orleans, sixteen-inch
softball is called "Cabbage Ball" and is a popular team sport in area
elementary and high schools.

Anyone out there know where I can get a copy of rules to play Cabbage Ball?

Is it the same rules as Soft Ball?

I received a unusual request from one of my buddies with DOD and they
requested that I send 2 cabbage balls to Kuwait with the rules. The idea
is to be able to play a sport and not break their hands or need gloves.

I purchased the balls locally but they didnt have any rules.
