Too bad they're having this meeting at a time when most people are still not

St. Bernard Planning Commission has scheduled vote on matter



St. Bernard Parish President Craig P. Taffaro Jr. wants citizens to be aware
that there is a public hearing on Tuesday, April 28 at 4 p.m. on the
proposed four multi-family mixed-income housing developments slated for
Chalmette.



The Planning Commission will meet in the St. Bernard Parish Council Chambers
at 4 p.m. at 8201 W. Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette. The agenda calls for a
public hearing on each of the four developments and final votes are
scheduled as to whether or not to re-subdivide the land for these projects.



"This is the public's formal opportunity to be heard," President Taffaro
said.



The items to be considered are:



* THE ARLENE & JOSEPH MERAUX CHARITABLE FOUNDATION AND COVENTRY COURT,
LLC ARE REQUESTING A RE-SUBDIVISON OF A PORTION OF TRACTS 1 AND 2 OF THE
MERAUX AIRPORT TRACT, SECTIONS 64 AND 76, T12S-R12E, SITUATED IN THE PARISH
OF ST. BERNARD, STATE OF LOUISIANA, INTO LOT MA-5 ON SURVEY BY DADING,
MARQUES & ASSOCIATES, INC., LICENSED LAND SURVEYOR, STATE OF LOUISIANA.
(This development would be located on Patricia Street in Chalmette, between
the Wal-Mart property and the Gueringer Canal.)



* THE ARLENE & JOSEPH MERAUX CHARITABLE FOUNDATION AND NEWHAVEN COURT,
LLC ARE REQUESTING A RE-SUBDIVISON OF TRACT 3 OF THE MERAUX AIRPORT TRACT,
