[StBernard] St. Bernard Parish to hold public hearing July 21

As a rule of thumb, voters should never consider the passage of any law,
ordinance, etc. where they relinquish the requirement of a vote of the
people to raise or increase any kind of tax or fee.

Everyone should make an effort to be in attendance for this meeting.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23(C) of the
Constitution and R.S.47:1705(B) that a public hearing of the St. Bernard
Parish Council will be held at 8201 W. Judge Perez Dr. Council Chambers,
Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 @ 4:00 p.m. to consider levying
additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or
adopting the adjusted millage rate and rolling forward to a millage rate not
to exceed the prior year's maximum.



This is not a new tax and St. Bernard Parish Council shall not exceed the
voter approved maximum millage rate.
