Removing these slabs is a significant step towards insuring that the lots
remain cut and clear of debris, not to mention the potential injuries to
"skake boarders" and others using these slabs.
 
Can someone verify specifically whether or not the program has been revised
to be available ONLY to those individuals owing the lots next door?  It was
previously stated that while those owning the houses next door to these lots
had "first dibs", if neither owner expressed interest in the property it
would then be available to the property owner behind the now vacant lot.  If
this has, in fact, changed, why, and if so, will the parish maintain
responsibility for cutting the grass?  The state program has done an
excellent job of keeping these lots cut, edged, and cleaned on a regular
basis.
