Man wanted in connection with rapes, kidnappings near colleges in Louisiana,
Mississippi

Crimestoppers is seeking the public's help in finding a man wanted for rape
and kidnapping in three jurisdictions.

James Harold Crockett Jr., 37, is wanted for aggravated rape and aggravated
kidnapping in East Baton Rouge Parish and Hattiesburg, Miss., and attempted
rape and kidnapping in Tangipahoa Parish, the agency said in a news release.

Crockett, who lived for a while in Chalmette, has family ties in Folsom,
Bush and the Covington area, the agency said.

He has a tattoo of a fleur de lis with a tribal band on his left shoulder
and a naked girl mural on his right shoulder.

He is possibly driving a maroon 2008 GMC pickup truck with Mississippi
license plate MN7451, the agency said.

Crockett is accused of using a stun gun and handcuff's to subdue victims.
All three victims were college students living off campus in apartment
complexes, Crimestoppers said.

The Baton Rouge attack was July 5, the Hattiesburg attack was July 6 and the
Hammond attack was last Friday, Crimestoppers said.

Anyone with information on the location of Crockett is asked to call
Crimestoppers at 504.822.1111 or 1.877.903.STOP. Callers remain anonymous
and can earn a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information which leads to
the arrest and indictment of this suspect.
