Fellow Conservative,

Obama and his liberal allies in Washington are taking us down a path towards socialism and the time to speak up is now.

<http://lagop.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=81f80dfae08a15f3629eabdeb&id=8fbe12c87a&e=e293a5ac38> Last week, State Senator Conrad Appel asked you to sign a petition requesting that every member of Louisiana’s delegation reject government-run health care and the job killing energy tax known as Cap and Trade.

Your response was overwhelming. More than a thousand of you added your names to the growing list of concerned citizens taking a stand against the Obama Administration's agenda. Hundreds of you made your voice heard by commenting on our blog, and your level of engagement was so overpowering that the increased traffic to lagop.com <http://lagop.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=81f80dfae08a15f3629eabdeb&id=29d5b6e635&e=e293a5ac38> temporarily shut down our site.

Not to worry, we’re back up and running so if you weren’t able to sign on before – sign the petition TODAY <http://lagop.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=81f80dfae08a15f3629eabdeb&id=5ac8447806&e=e293a5ac38> .

And after you’ve signed – Take Action:

• Forward this email to a friend.

• Click here <http://lagop.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=81f80dfae08a15f3629eabdeb&id=b52ca666ad&e=e293a5ac38> to contact your Representative and Senators.

• Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper.

• Call in to your local talk radio station.

• Support the Republican Party of Louisiana’s efforts by contributing <http://lagop.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=81f80dfae08a15f3629eabdeb&id=cc223aafff&e=e293a5ac38> .

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer call your opposition to their radical agenda “un-American,” but nothing could be more critical to representative democracy than citizens expressing their views to their elected leaders in Washington. Together we can make a difference.

Sincerely,
Roger F. Villere, Jr., Chairman
Republican Party of Louisiana
