[StBernard] Welcome to the Conversation

Fellow Conservative,

On Thursday, Mary Landrieu will hold her first townhall meeting of the August recess at the Army National Guard Readiness Center in Reserve, LA. Unlike Louisiana’s Republican members of Congress who have hosted numerous townhall meetings across the state; concerned citizens have neither seen nor heard much of Democrats Mary Landrieu and Charlie Melancon. Today we're welcoming Landrieu to the conversation and asking Melancon when he will stop ducking the public and hold a townhall meeting of his own.

Charlie Melancon may call townhall attendees “dishonest fearmongers”, but voters in this state have a right and a responsibility to hear and be heard by those who represent them. Since Landrieu’s townhall may be the only opportunity to address a Louisiana Democrat in Congress, we encourage everyone concerned with government-run healthcare to attend.

Your voice matters -- and Landrieu’s recent admission that she “reserves her options” on any health care vote means it matters now more than ever.

I've also included at the bottom of this message a list of upcoming Republican townhall meetings and other events you may be interested in.

Sincerely,

Roger Villere, Jr., Chairman
Republican Party of Louisiana
