Since this is new construction I wonder if they are meeting the elevation
requirements? I would think the one nearest the cemetery would have to be
the highest built.

Gawd, that brings up another thing. Will we even be safe going to visit our
dead in St. Bernard Mem Gardens?

The Council needs to go back to the old way of doing things like the
Police
Jury would have done. You constantly find problems with the
developers
plans, with code, make him keep revising it...that should drag
things out
forever. Then right when the plans finally meet code, someone
discovers
some strange chemical that appears to have been dumped on the site.
The
environmental investigation, plus clean up, then drags things out
for
another year making sure the ground is safe. By then the parish can
rezone
the area for single family residential, etc.

Just use red tape and creative problems to drag things out to the
point
where the developer will give up. That's how they did it in the old
days.
