Good Afternoon -

Registration for President Obama's Louisiana pop in and pop out is now
closed but Politico

=b0e580db30&e=e293a5ac38> is reporting that "nerves are raw" and critiques
of the President's short visit have added a "layer of political tension to
Obama's New Orleans trip."

3 Hours And 45 Minutes:

Based on a news report in today's Times-Picayune
<http://lagop.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=81f80dfae08a15f3629eabdeb&id
=2a3e87bb51&e=e293a5ac38> , Obama's stop in New Orleans on Thursday will
last just 3 hours and 45 minutes. Obama is scheduled to land at 11:25 a.m.
and depart at 3:10 p.m. This certainly must come as disappointing news to
Congressional leaders and local activists calling for a more extensive
visit.

Silencing Dissent Or Just A Coincidence:

Over the weekend, a local ACORN leader criticized President Obama for the
brevity of his Louisiana stopover. National ACORN leaders were swift to act
and promised to personally visit New Orleans to remedy the situation - and
they did. Last night, longtime executive director of Louisiana ACORN Beth
Butler was fired

=99e4572a10&e=e293a5ac38> . Now ACORN's leadership is backtracking and
insisting the firing was for other reasons, but this hardly appears a
coincidence. Clearly ACORN is far more committed to protecting and
re-electing President Obama than their stated goals of social justice and
stronger communities.

Questions For The President:

Charlie Melancon endorsed you in 2008, voted with you 84 percent of the time
in 2008, supported your stimulus package and budget, and voted to keep the
public option in the health care bill. Why is he not attending your town
hall meeting in New Orleans?

Why do you support a Cap and Tax proposal that will lower

billion dollars, destroy more than 15,000 jobs in Louisiana, and raise
electricity prices in Louisiana by more than $750 dollars per household?

Why did you choose to vacation in Martha's Vineyard rather than visit New
Orleans on the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina?

Why do you support destroying a workers right to a secret ballot and forcing
binding arbitration that would let the federal government dictate wages and
benefits of a union contract?

Why does the Senate's health care bill allow Senate Majority Leader to
exempt

to new federal money for Medicaid? This new match would cost Louisiana $614
million over 5 years while costing Nevada nothing.

Why have you taken no action on your promise to establish a goal of
approving all Road Home applications
