I agree with this statement. I don't think they should take it off of the
ballot. It will probably pass and that is why they are getting flack over
it. We don't need anymore rentals. We are inundated with them. I think
putting your tail between your legs and walking away to allow other
entities from another parish tell us what to do is cowardly and a mistake.
They already think they can threaten us with court and we'll run. This is a
vote to the people that most probably want to vote on anyway. They want the
influx of large complexes in Orleans, then so be it. We don't want or need
them.

It's a got-damned shame when a local governmental entity (SBP) cannot
self-determine by a vote of the residents whether or not they choose to
have
large multi-unit housing in their own parish without fear of the Federal
judiciary.
