Shop St. Bernard Event on Thursday, November 19 to include Benny Grunch and
the Bunch at an after-event party 

Save retail receipts from Nov. 19 to Dec. 19 for President Craig Taffaro's
Christmas Cash Back program

 

The St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce is again sponsoring its annual SHOP ST.
BERNARD event on Thursday, November 19 from 3 to 7 p.m. Shoppers can take
their own cars to the stores or ride the Gulf Coast Trolley to visit each of
the participating stores this year. 

 

Those stores are: A-1 Appliance, All About Me, Art & Frame, Balli Gallery,
Flooring Showcase Rugs & Interiors, Ladybug's Garden, Ponstein's Food Store,
Mike's Lighting & Cabinets and Todd's Technology. 

 

There will be an AFTER EVENT PARTY at A-1 Appliance for the prize drawings.
The famous Benny Grunch and the Bunch will be at A-1 from 5 to 7 p.m. Olive
Branch Emporium will be giving away treats at Gulf Coast Bank at East Judge
Perez Drive and Charles Drive in Chalmette, which is where you can load the
trolley to ride to the stores. The Chamber would like to give special thanks
to Entergy and Gulf Coast Bank for their assistance with this event.

 

This year, St. Bernard Parish President Craig P. Taffaro, Jr. is using this
event as the kick-off date for his annual CHRISTMAS CASH BACK program to
reward St. Bernard residents for doing their Christmas shopping with local
vendors. In the program that President Taffaro implemented last year,
residents who save their retail receipts could win cash. He will be holding
this year's CASH BACK event on Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the St.
Bernard Civic Center. For every $100 in receipts from local vendors from
Nov. 19 to Dec. 19, residents will be eligible for cash drawings.

  

Shoppers who get their cards marked for visiting each store will be eligible
for the following grand prizes at the after-event party: 

*	A-1 APPLIANCE: Frigidaire washer and dryer valued at $998.
*	ALL ABOUT ME: $100 gift certificate.
*	ART & FRAME: R.C. Davis print valued at $275.

*	FLOORING SHOWCASE RUGS & INTERIORS: a floor rug valued at $300.
*	LADYBUG'S GARDEN: hand-painted authentic New Orleans roofing slate
with easel valued at $75.
*	MIKE'S LIGHTING & CABINETS: Emerson Capital Hill outdoor fan valued
at $300 and a Fleur de Lis mirror valued at $104.
*	PONSTEIN'S FOOD STORE: wine basket valued at $125.
*	TODD'S TECHNOLOGY: BlueAnt X3 Bluetooth headset valued at $69.99.
*	SWEETWATER GUIDE SERVICE: a day-long inclusive charter fishing trip
with Captain Jack Payne for four guests valued at $650.
*	SHOEMAKER CHIROPRACTIC: two one-hour massages valued at $60 each,
one 10-session detox valued at $600 and free posture exams valued at $150
each.
*	J & J JEWELERY: 14 karat gold amethyst cross and chain valued at
$200.
*	ROCKY & CARLOS: $30 gift certificate and gift certificate for a pan
of baked macaroni.
