Woman killed in St. Bernard crash

ST. BERNARD, La. - State Police are investigating a single-car crash in St.
Bernard Parish that left one woman dead, according to St. Bernard Parish
Sheriff's Office spokesman Steve Cannizaro.

Wednesday afternoon, the woman was killed after she lost control of her car,
veered off the road and hit a ditch, Cannizaro said.

"The victim was heading east in the 1700 block of Bayou Road in the St.
Bernard community when, according to a witness, her car went off the road at
a point where it curved," said Cannizaro. 

Police have not released the name of the victim.
