Dear Friends -

A firestorm erupted last week after the National Football League was
attempting to claim ownership of "Who Dat," but you and I know that Who Dat
belongs to you, and me, and Saints fans across the country. As I told KSLA

=eLREWISAuzae6n90kHDafw> , Who Dat belongs to members of the Who Dat Nation
and that's why I've asked Louisiana's Attorney General to defend our legal
rights. As Saints fans prepare to bring the spirit, dedication, and the
noise of Who Dat Nation to Miami they should not have to worry about their
clothing. Geaux Saints!

After five years of fighting with FEMA over funding a replacement for New
Orleans Charity Hospital, Louisiana finally came out on top. The decision
to direct FEMA to award $474 million will allow us move forward with the
plan to build a new hospital. As the New Orleans Times-Picayune

=h9h1wjj4M1e%2bp5TDPOT0cw> reported, "the new hospital is urgently needed.
but the state's plans also are critically important to the city's economic
future." This announcement, combined with the agreement between LSU and
Tulane to establish a world-class Academic Medical Center will allow our
state to construct a teaching and research hospital capable of luring the
best medical residents and offering state-of-the-art health care for our
citizens.

Last week we made another exciting economic development announcement. The
Receivables Exchange, one of true entrepreneurial success stories in
post-Katrina New Orleans is doubling its workforce by adding at least 60 new
jobs. We're committed to creating a New Louisiana, a new frontier for
business opportunity, and this news is a testament to those efforts. We
will continue to foster an environment that furthers economic development
and allows Louisiana's best and brightest to realize their dreams right here
at home. A significant part of those efforts have been in revitalizing
workforce training and I was pleased to read in the Baton Rouge Advocate
<http://click.bsftransmit1.com/ClickThru.aspx?pubids=393%7c052%7c9390&digest
=8jfrFoiWU23NHZKwyjXQbg> that our Louisiana FastStart program now ranks
among the top 5 best programs in the nation for delivering workforce
solutions to expanding companies.

On Wednesday I addressed 43 members of the Louisiana Air National Guard's
159th Security Forces Squadron who are headed to Manas Air Base in
Kyrgyzstan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. As I told the
Times-Picayune

=Xb3iAhpgcOqbBBAL%2beJPfw> , the 159th is making an extraordinary mark on
our nation and our world. These men and women are true American heroes who
are willing to stand in harm's way to protect our nation and our values and
we are eternally grateful.

Sincerely,

Governor Bobby Jindal

P.S. - Geaux Saints!
