Less than one week after President Obama delivered his state of the union, he has done a complete 180 on his promises and proposed a budget that will tax and spend higher than ever.

Louisianans and Americans across the country are tightening their family budgets and reducing their spending. President Obama and the liberal friends of Charlie Melancon aren't following the example of families reducing spending, and are instead proposing to grow the government and spend more than at any time in American history.

The proposed budget would spend $3.8 trillion in the fiscal year beginning October 1 and continue the government's size of 25% of GDP indefinitely. Both liberal and conservative economists agree that these record levels of spending are unsustainable.

Thank you in advance for your support. Together, we can fight for fiscal responsibility in our government.
