St. Bernard President Craig Taffaro hosts Boy Scouts fund raising breakfast
March 12

Friday, March 12 event to be held at 8 a.m. in the St. Bernard Civic Center
Grand Ballroom

For one hundred years, young boys have recited the Scout Oath as a rite of
passage while growing up. In fact, more than five million boys have pledged
their honor since the founding of the Boy Scouts of America in 1910.

St. Bernard Parish President Craig P. Taffaro, Jr. is hosting a "Duty to God
and Country" breakfast on Friday, March 12 at the St. Bernard Civic Center
Grand Ballroom, 3220 Jean Lafitte Parkway in Chalmette. The event will begin
promptly at 8 a.m. At the breakfast, we will be recognizing the recipient of
the Fleur de Lis Award, which is presented to an individual for his/her
outstanding contribution to the metropolitan community and in support of the
Boy Scouts' ideal of "Duty to God and Country."

Also, guests will have a chance to learn about some of the great things that
are happening for young people in the Southeast Louisiana Council of the Boy
Scouts of America. This will serve as our kick-off to the "Friends of
Scouting Campaign."

Tickets are $50 a piece or you can reserve a table of eight for $400. To
reserve your seat, please RSVP by March 9 by calling or e-mailing the office
of President Craig Taffaro, Breakfast Chairman, at lduplessis at sbpg.net or
504-278-4227 or by contacting Lance Brown, Scouting District Executive, at
lanbrown at bsamail.org.

Thank you for your role in shaping the next generation of leaders.
