Below is a story from the AP internets news found on AT&T's homepage on the
subject of Global Warming.  Read the story and a certain points I will
interject with a comment in (CAPS) that sets the facts straight.  As you
will see, this is slick writing that reads like it's all undisputable fact,
but when in fact, the entire story is based on an opinion and hypothesis.

Global Warming - More Than Just Hot Air?

Will it be hotter this summer than last year?

Is it getting hotter every year?

Are there more incidents of extreme weather now than in years past? 

According to the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and The
National Academy of Sciences the answer is a resounding yes. Although the
earth's increased temperature has not been blamed for a specific natural
disaster, scientists have predicted the changes may increase the number and
severity of extreme weather events and biological extinctions. What is this
trend? Welcome to global warming. The effects of global warming can be
observed on all continents.

What is global warming? ( A THEORY OR "HYPOTHESIS", NOTHING MORE) Global
warming is a term used to describe the increases in the average temperature
of the Earth's atmosphere.

Heat from the sun is the energy that regulates the earth’s climate and
weather. In the process the earth’s surface is warmed. The earth receives
this energy and radiates a percentage of it back into space as mostly water
vapor. Greenhouse gases in the form of carbon dioxide, water vapor and other
gases retain some of the outgoing energy. The retained gases trap the sun's
returning heat causing the planet to warm up. (ONLY THEORY, ESPECIALLY WHEN
YOU CONSIDER GLOBAL WARMING SUPPORTERS FAIL TO MENTION THEY CANNOT RECREATE
THIS "GREENHOUSE" EFFECT IN LAB EXPERIMENTS - THAT'S THE SCIENTIFIC
DEFINITION OF WHAT A "THEORY" IS - BELIEF IN SOMETHNG THAT CANNOT BE
SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN BY RECREATED EXPERIMENT) 

Why are the retained greenhouse gas levels increasing?
Many scientists believe (i.e. OPINION) man-made emissions from the
combustion of fossil fuels and coal-burning power plants are the primary
reason for the increased concentration of carbon dioxide. It is estimated
that the coal-burning plants produce 2.5 billion tons every year.
Automobiles create approximately 1.5 billion tons of CO2 annually. (ONLY AN
ESTIMATE BASED ON SPECULATION, NO REAL DATA TO BACK THIS UP - RESEARCH IT
YOURSELF TO FIND OUT)

Since the beginning of the industrial revolution, levels of carbon dioxide
have increased nearly 30%. Other greenhouse gases have increase by as much
as 15%. The rise in greenhouse gases have increased the retention of heat in
the earth’s atmosphere resulting in a rise in temperature. The United States
produces 25 percent of the earth’s carbon dioxide pollution from fossil-fuel
burning. (FALSE, IMPOSSIBLE TO KNOW SINCE ONLY A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THE
WORLD'S COUNTRIES ACTUALLY RELEASE SUCH DATA AND NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE HOW
ACCURATELY IT IS MEASURED. SOME SAY IT IS PURE SPECULATION.  MANY SCIENTISTS
HAVE STATED THE U.S. PERCENTAGE HAS TO BE FAR LESS  - AND NO ONE WAS ABLE TO
ACCURATELY MEASURE RELEASED CARBON DATA PRIOR TO WWII - SOMETHING THEY
CONVENIENTLY LEFT OUT OF THIS ARTICLE)

The National Academy of Sciences reports the Earth's surface temperature has
risen by approximately 1 degree Fahrenheit in the past one hundred years.
The rate of increase has accelerated in the past two decades. Scientists
expect that the average global surface temperature could rise 2.2-10°F
(1.4-5.8°C) in the next century. (NO ONE CAN KNOW FOR SURE SINCE THE DATA
THEY ARE BASING THIS "GUESS" ON CANNOT BE SCIENTIFICALLY VERIFIED)

What happens when the temperature increases?
The increase in atmospheric temperatures is expected to result in other
climate changes including a decrease in snow cover in the Northern
Hemisphere and floating ice in the Arctic Ocean causing rises in sea level
and changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation. An increase in
temperature may increase the frequency and intensity natural disasters such
as floods, droughts, heat waves, and hurricanes. (YES, THESE THINGS COULD
RESULT FROM HIGHER GLOBAL TEMPERATURES, BUT ARE THEY REALLY CAUSED BY
MAN-MAN ACTIVITY????  I WILL ANSWER BELOW ARTICLE) 

Other consequences of global warming include:

*	Melting glaciers and early snowmelt 
*	Severe droughts 
*	Warmer sea surface temperatures increasing hurricane intensity 
*	Disruption of biological habitats 

Scientists Opposing The Global Warming Consensus Although the global warming
view is held by the vast majority of climate scientists and researchers
(WRONG - THEY MAKE UP THE MINORITY - THESE ARE JUST THE "SQUEAKY WHEEL"
SCIENTISTS); there are a number of scientists who disagree with this (FALSE)
consensus. Most scientists in disagreement fall into 3 categories: Those
that believe the Earth is not warming, those that believe the Earth is
warming but the cause is unknown, and those that believe the Earth is
warming but primarily due to natural processes. (THE COMBINATION OF THESE 3
GROUPS MAKE UP TWO-THIRDS OF THE WORLD'S EARTH SCIENTISTS AND RESEARCHERS -
YES, THAT'S RIGHT, TWO-THIRDS - AND NEARLY HALF OF ALL EARTH SCIENTIST FALL
INTO THE LAST GROUP - TO BE TALKED ABOUT BELOW)

What the above article conveniently fails to mention is there are countless
earth scientists who are trying to educate people that the earth's increase
in temperatures are a natural occurrence caused by our Sun - even NASA's
scientist said this on a recent Discovery Channel documentary.  Yes, what Al
Gore and his scientists don't want you to know is other planets in our solar
system have been experiencing global warming as well, following the earth's
warming patterns nearly identical in recent decades.

Why don't they want you to know this?...because it will blow the lid of
credibility off their "global warming hypothesis" pot.  Does anyone remember
just a few weeks ago when it was learned that some of these global warming
scientists were caught red-handed when their emails were intercepted where
they were advising each other how "we need to keep creating phony data to
convince people we are right?????"  If you missed that, just google it -
plenty of articles on it.  The White House (Robert Gibbs) ridiculously
jumped into that mess trying to explain it to "us dummies" that it was all a
misunderstanding....yeah right!

Forgive me for not remembering this British scientist's name, but there's a
famous Earth Scientist in England (in his 80's) who is looked upon by other
global warming scientist as their "God."  Last year he broke their hearts in
a published New York Times Magazine article when he said "as much I believe
the earth is getting warmer, there is little to support mankind's impact to
the problem's cause and even less that mankind can do about it." - and he's
their guru.  He also went on to say that he places the "global warming"
problem "way down his list of the most important problems the world needs to
deal with."  World hunger and an improved quality of life he said are far
more needing attention.

In the future, question everything you hear about global warming by doing
your own research and hearing both sides of the debate.  And let your
federal legislators know you want them to defeat any attempt to pass a "Cap
and Trade" bill - the same kind that has failed miserably in Europe to the
point where the European Union is going to consider repealing it.
