[StBernard] St. Bernard Parish plans a series of grand openings and ground breakings

St. Bernard Parish President Craig P. Taffaro, Jr. cordially invites you to
a series of Recovery and Growth Celebrations including four Grand Openings
and a Ground Breaking.



* Grand Opening of the Los Islenos Museum Complex on Saturday, March
20 at 10:30 a.m. at 1345-1357 Bayou Road in St. Bernard. The project
includes $2.5 million of renovations and construction at the 30-acre complex
that includes nine historic structures.



* Grand Opening of Violet Park No. 2 on Thursday, March 25 at 9 a.m.
at 6609 East St. Bernard Highway in Violet. This project includes $700,000
of work to restore the ball park and rebuilt the concession stand.



* Construction Ground Breaking of the Aycock Barn/Open Air Seafood
Market on Monday, March 29 at 8 a.m. at 409 Aycock Street in Arabi. This
project involves $2.1 million of work to convert the Aycock Barn into a
family-friendly open air market complete with seafood vendors and a pop-up
fountains for the children.



* Grand Opening of the Parish Maintenance Garage on Tuesday, March
30 at 8 a.m. at 120 Agriculture Street off of Paris Road in Chalmette. This
$651,300 project involves renovation at a key public works building.



* Grand Opening of the Parish Maintenance Garage and Maintenance
Shed on Tuesday, March 30 at 8 a.m., following the ribbon cutting at the
Maintenance Garage, at 120 Agriculture Road off of Paris Road in Chalmette.
This $380,800 project involves renovations at a key public works building.
