DAF Arts Grants Available; Workshops to be Held

 

Guidelines and application forms are now available for the Decentralized
Arts Funding (DAF) Grants Program in St. Tammany and St. Bernard Parishes.
They may be downloaded at www.stpgov.org/arts.  Grants are available for
arts organizations and for project assistance to a variety of artists and
other entities.  All projects must occur between October 1, 2010 and
September 30, 2011, and applicants may apply for up to two grants.
Applications are due 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2010.  

 

The program is administered by the Commission on Cultural Affairs of St.
Tammany Parish Government. The Decentralized Arts Funding Program is funded
by the State of Louisiana, Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural
Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, Office of the
Lt. Governor.

 

The Commission on Cultural Affairs will host a series of free workshops
explaining the program guidelines and how to complete application forms.
Due to space limitations, please RSVP at least one day prior to the workshop
either by phone at (985) 898-3011 or arts at stpgov.org. 

 

Workshop sessions will be held on the following dates: 

 

*        Thursday, April 15 at 10:00 a.m. at 8201 W. Judge Perez Drive,
Chalmette in the 2nd Floor Conference Room

 

*        Monday, April 19 at 10:00 a.m. at the Slidell Art League Gallery,
1827 Front Street, Slidell (upstairs in the train depot building)

 

*        Wednesday, April 21 at 6:00 p.m. at the Parish Council Chambers,
21490 Koop Drive, Mandeville
