TOURISM HOLDS SERIES OF STRATEGIC PLANNING WORKSHOPS
Final one to be Thursday, May 6th 

The St. Bernard Parish Tourist Commission in conjunction with the University
of New Orleans is conducting the final in its series of Tourism Strategic
Planning Workshops Thursday, May 6th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nunez Community
College, 3710 Paris Road, Room 114, in Chalmette.

These workshops have been conducted at several locations in St. Bernard
Parish to make it convenient to get input from the public, businesses and
tourism stakeholders.  The objectives of these workshops are:
 
1) To provide citizens and stakeholders with information as to the impact of
the Tourism Industry in St. Bernard Parish; 

2) To gather information from St. Bernard residents, businesses and
government officials regarding their perceptions of tourism development;

3) To help create a tourism attraction inventory for St. Bernard Parish
including existing attractions/events and potential attractions/events; 

4) To seek support for and participation in the Strategic Tourism Planning
Process.
