> As a result of the BP Gulf Oil Spill, help to the people of St. Bernard
and
> other affected Louisiana parishes has come from a variety of sources. One
> unlikely source is the hip hop community and Citadel Broadcasting's radio
> station KKND-FM (Power 102.9). Power has teamed with the House of Blues
New
> Orleans and the office of St. Bernard Parish President Craig P. Taffaro,
Jr.
> to produce the Power to the Parish on Friday, June 18, 2010.

> This incredible event showcases national hip hop superstars J Cole
> (Columbia/ Roc Nation), the California Swag District (Capitol Records),
> Juvenile (E1 Entertainment), rising local star Kourtney Heart and
Currency.
> In addition, the Power 102.9 DJ's serve as host and mixers for the event.

> "Two of our radio cluster's broadcast towers rest in St. Bernard Parish

that
> benefited the kids of The Parish."

the
