[StBernard] unit test at Murphy Oil Meraux refinery tomorrow

Tomorrow, Monday June 14, 2010, Murphy Oil Meraux refinery will begin
function testing of a new unit, the Hi Jet.  
 
In a courtesy call from refinery personnel, community members were made
aware of the noise levels expected throughout the day tomorrow, and possibly
into Tuesday, should testing continue.
 
My limited understanding of this new unit is that it is expected to help
eliminate sending small streams of low pressure gases to the flares.  That
would be a most welcomed addition to the plant and should bring immediate
and significant improvement to the air quality, health and quality of life
in our neighborhoods around Murphy.   -----SJK
