Louisiana Small Businesses Owners Eligible for Deferment of SBA Loan
Payments



SBA has 12 Business Recovery Centers open in Louisiana to meet individually
with business owners impacted by the Deepwater BP Oil Spill. To date, SBA
Customer Service Representatives have met with 2,810 Louisiana business
owners, issued 1389 applications and received 332 completed applications.
SBA has three Business Recovery Centers located in St. Bernard Parish at:

SBA has approved 56 Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) for $2,845,600,
and the agency has processed over 300 deferments for homeowners and business
owners.



Small business owners in the affected parishes who are repaying SBA disaster
loans may be eligible for a deferment. SBA is relaxing deferment
requirements for Business Firms impacted by the Gulf Oil Spills. Inquiries
may be directed to any one of the 12 Business Recovery Centers open in
Louisiana or by calling SBA's Customer Service Center toll-free number at
(800) 659-2955.



Business owners can also apply online via SBA's secure website at
https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela. SBA will continue to participate in the
BP Expo/Open House meetings going forward.
