 "Spay a Stray Day" to be held Tuesday, June 29 

 

 

The Joseph and Arlene Meraux Charitable Foundation and St. Bernard Parish
Animal Services will host a "Spay a Stray Day".  It will be held on Tuesday,
June 29. The cats will be transported to the LASPCA Low Cost Spay/Neuter
Clinic with St. Bernard's Parish's new transportation vehicle.  The cost per
cat is $15 with the remainder of the cost being subsidized with donations
from the Meraux Foundation.  The cost includes surgery, ear tip and a rabies
vaccination.  An appointment must be made in advance by calling
504-278-1534. The animals must be in a trap or carrier and dropped off at
St. Bernard Parish Animal Services, 5455 E. Judge Perez between 7 and 7:45
a.m. the morning of the surgery and picked up between 3 and 4 p.m. that same
day.   Please join in helping to stop pet overpopulation.
