I didn't know SBP had a flight operations, or air ops personnel. Would that
be the mosquito board airplane or something?

-----------------------------------------------------
Update: Oil Sheen/Emulsified oil patties 2 miles off of Chandeleur
Islands
in St. Bernard

A flyover conducted by St. Bernard flight operations personnel at
around 7
a.m. this morning in and around the Chandeleur Islands in St.
Bernard Parish
confirmed a nine-mile stretch of oil sheen, with a dozen or so
10-feet by
30-feet patches of emulsified oil about two miles off the islands.
Crews
left early this morning with a skimming vessel equipped with a newly
acquired brush skimmer to attempt to recover these patches of
emulsified
oil. The patches of oil seem to have moved further north than where
they
were noted as being yesterday. Operations and Air Ops personnel will
continue to monitor the track of this line of emulsified oil and
sheen
today. Air Ops is conducting another over flight later this morning
to
observe this further.
