Oil found in marsh by the mouth of the MRGO

During a reconnaissance mission yesterday, Operations personnel discovered
impacted marsh areas near the mouth of the MRGO. Additionally, oil spill
operations received reports of confirmed oil in Fishing Smack Bay, oil
impacted shoreline in Drum Bay and oil impacted marsh on Raw Head Island. A
skimming task force was sent to skim the oil found in Fishing Smack. Crews
have been working to deploy boom or replace boom in areas that were hard hit
recently including the Chandeleur Islands, Brush Island, Comfort Island,
Stone Island and Dry Bread Island.
