No storm damage to St. Bernard Parish oil spill staging areas

Operations being stood back up today

The Unified Command of the St. Bernard Parish Branch has ordered tiered
reconstitution of response operations at all parish staging areas. This is
following a Severe Weather Plan being put into action due to the threat of
Tropical Depression #5.

There were no reports of flooding or any other damage as a result of this
weather system passing through the parish. Weather permitting, offshore
operations will be re-populated after being inspected by Safety and
Communications personnel. An overflight of parish waters is being conducted
by the fixed wing aircraft that provides live feed AV watch. Weather
permitting, Air Operations will deploy helicopter flights this afternoon to
perform reconnaissance surveys over parish waters. On-water cleanup,
monitoring and booming operations will resume tomorrow, once vessels and
personnel have fully reconstituted operations.
