PLAQUEMINES PARISH PRESIDENT BILLY NUNGESSER TO ADDRESS LOUISIANA
INTERNATIONAL GULF TRANSFER TERMINAL AUTHORITY (LIGTT)

St. Bernard Parish -On October 6th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m., Plaquemines Parish
President Billy Nungesser will address the LIGTT Commission as well as
local, state and federal officials at the St. Bernard Parish Government
Council Chambers located at 8201 W. Judge Perez in Chalmette. Nungesser will
discuss a proposed plan to work with the Army Corps of Engineers to
designate the new LIGTT deep water port as a sediment deposit site for
materials currently being dredged from the Southwest Pass.

"While the establishment of Louisiana's new international deep water port in
the open waters of the Gulf to the east of the Southwest Pass was originally
designed to help bring the economy back in south Louisiana after Hurricane
Katrina, it has turned out to be a world-wide event with the development of
an entire new supply chain connecting the east and west coasts of South
America, central America and the Panama Canal to 33 states and 3 Canadian
Provinces starting in Louisiana through 14,500 miles of waterways via the
Mississippi River and its tributaries," said Senator A.G. Crowe, President
of the Authority.

Governor Bobby Jindal's appointments to LIGTT on October 29, 2008 was an
effort to position Louisiana as an international hub for container cargo
ships by promoting, planning, financing, developing, constructing,
operating, maintaining, and modifying deep water terminal and intermodal
facilities to be constructed in Plaquemines Parish.
